DOZENS OF AIRPORTS FOR EASY FLYING
The Bill and Hillary Clinton National Airport (LIT) in Little Rock and the Northwest Arkansas National Airport (XNA) are the state’s two largest airports and collectively offer dozens of daily departures and nonstop service to destinations around the country.
TAC Air and Fly Arkansas LLC both offer fixed base operations in Little Rock while Regional Jet Center offers FBO services to XNA. A network of regional airports in El Dorado, Fort Smith, Harrison, Hot Springs, Jonesboro, Texarkana, and other Northwest Arkansas cities provide day and night commercial service to several national airports. Most of these airports have instrument approach capability.
In addition to commercial aircraft, Clinton National serves general aviation/private aircraft, with two fixed-base operators (FBOs) on the field, TAC Air, and Fly Arkansas, LLC.
The Arkansas Aeroplex at Blytheville, formerly Eaker Air Force Base, is the state’s second-largest industrial complex and one of the largest commercial airstrips in the central United States. Situated in a campus-like setting, the facility offers fiber optic technology, 1.5 million square feet of available facilities, and space for new construction.
Bill and Hillary Clinton National Airport (LIT) – Little Rock
Handling over 1 million passengers per year, Clinton National Airport is Arkansas’ centrally-located hub for both air travel and cargo. Home to a number of aircraft-related companies, including the largest global facility of Dassault Falcon Jet, the airport is currently undergoing a major terminal modernization project as part of a broader master plan.

Northwest Arkansas National Airport (XNA) – Bentonville/Fayetteville
Like the rest of Northwest Arkansas, the Northwest Arkansas National Airport has experienced exponential growth in the last few years, with passenger traffic exceeding 1 million per year in 2024. A $36 million terminal modernization has been underway since 2023, and construction of a state-of-the-art air traffic control tower began last year.

Fort Smith Regional Airport (FSM)
One of Arkansas’ busiest smaller airports, Fort Smith Regional handles around 83,000 boardings annually. The airport completed a major, $25 million runway and lighting upgrade project in August 2023, enhancing operational capacity.
Texarkana Regional Airport (TXK)
Serving around 41,000 passengers per year, Texarkana Regional is another small airport that packs a punch, including a state-of-the-art passenger terminal that opened last year.
South Arkansas Regional Airport at Goodwin Field (ELD) – El Dorado
A major air hub for personnel serving the oil, gas, chemical, lithium and defense industries clustered in South Arkansas, South Arkansas Regional at Goodwin Field has seen major upgrades in recent years, including repaving the main runway in 2024.
